WHY MAGIC NETBALL CLUB?
If you are looking for a club to take your child's game play to the next level then Magic is the club for you. Our progress and results in our first seven years demonstrate the elite coaching the players are provided with. Our players are making huge improvements week on week- this is due to their dedication and hard work, but also due to the specific coaching they receive. Our club is all about performing- this does not always mean winning (although that is great too!), but instead it's about putting out our best individual performances to create strong team performance. The players improve week on week due to the fact they use and apply their training into match play situations.
WHERE AND WHEN IS TRAINING?
Our players have 2 weekly sessions with us. A main team training session and a subsidised second session.
Our U19s, U16s, U14s - all have a training session and a strength and conditioning session on the same night.

U16s- Mondays at the K2 Crawley.
U14s - Tuesdays at Bohunt School Horsham.
Our U13s - have a training session and ball skills OR S&C session on the same night.
U13s- Wednesdays at Bohunt School Horsham. Skills session after at the K2 Crawley.
Our U12s, U11s, U10s, U9s all have a training session and a technical ball skills session on a Wednesday night (at the K2 Crawley).
U12s - Monday night training (K2 Crawley). Wednesday night technical ball skills.

HOW DOES MATCH SELECTION WORK?
For each match/ tournament, selection will be based on performance, attitude to training and work ethic. There is no minimum amount of game play for any player in the squad. Team selections are open to change every week. Matches are on a pay to play basis.
ARE SQUADS SET FOR THE YEAR?
Players who are successful at trials will keep their place in their squad for the year (until the next year's trials - March - March). However if players are not abiding by our club code of contact or not attending training and matches to a high enough standard (minimum 80% attendance and 80% availability) then coaches will speak with players about their commitment levels and may be asked to give up their place. Alongside this, as a performance club, we also review each individual player's progress and not enough progress is being made or our environment is no longer the right fit, we will have open and honest conversations with parents/ players about this and support the best next steps. Magic Netball offers open trials for new players throughout the year. Girls will be invited to trial at a training session with the squad members. A trial may take place over 1 or 2 sessions.
IS THERE A SOCIAL SIDE OFF THE COURT?
OF COURSE! Kiki and Izi believe in the balance of working hard and having fun! To ensure the girls work as a cohesive team they need to bond on and off the court. Therefore netball socials are key! Whether it is going on tours, for a meal, karaoke, watching an international netball match, laser quest or an adventure day there will be plenty of fun to be had by all (including the coaches!) Work hard play hard.

CAN PLAYERS TRIAL FROM ANY SCHOOL?
Absolutely!
At Magic netball club we are incredibly proud to reach so many different players from across the county of Sussex and neighbouring counties. We are huge advocates in bridging the gap that can exist between state & private school players’ netball opportunities. our aim is to provide the same high quality training and match opportunities for all our athletes. We are very proud to develop so many young, talented netballers from over 60 wonderful schools. with the wide variety of schools we reach within our community, our athletes come together through their love of netball to form friendships that are valued way beyond the netball court.
